The 4 Lessons I Learnt Playing Elite Level Golf That Helped Me Build and Scale a Business

My own personal journey has taken a couple of unexpected turns over the last 12 months. However, I am a firm believer that everything happens for reason. Having spent 2019 travelling to play elite amateur golf tournaments while running an events company for a couple of entrepreneurs at the same time, it wasn’t until November that I seemingly fell out of love with the game. I was no longer finding enjoyment in golf, so, I decided to start up my own events company. Everything was going well until covid hit, losing 90% of our bookings for the months ahead. Reflecting upon the last couple of months and how my latest venture took off relatively fast, I realised that so many of the things I’m doing now are the exact same principles from golf, just in a business setting. I’m also a firm believer that skills and habits are transferrable, and here I share the 4 lessons I learned from golf that I’ve applied in business.
